Well you're either interested in the game or not. I hope this is more useful to you than if you just silently lost my sale and never knew why. And I believe there are many many people thinking the exact same way I am. If it isn't here by then, I'll probably be in the "Meh, just wait for Mechwarrior 5" boat and won't be coming back to look again. It will probably be another couple months before I check in again. I just remembered again today and came here to see if there's joystick support yet, and was disappointed to see the answer is no. The last time I checked in on this game was months ago. If you wait too long (and it has already been way too long, I am sure you have lost many potential sales already), people will just say "Well Mechwarrior 5 will be here, I'll just wait." There are a LOT of people like myself that just want a substitute for Mechwarrior, and were looking at this game to be that fill-in, but turned away at the lack of a hotas type control style. Hey, I just want to point out that this ought to be a very high priority item that I think just isn't being recognized for how important it is. "Full controller support" on Steam means you can control the game fully with a gamepad-type controller without the need to use keyboard or mouse at all.

You have different game modes and there is no separation of VR and non VR players, everyone gets to play together. Fun With Friends… Real And Imaginaryįor quite a while Vox Machinae was only offering multiplayer action. However, there is a learning curve here and I think that it is one of those games where you really have to stick with it to get good and appreciate what it is trying to do. The actual action is a lot of fun and this really does make you feel like you are piloting a powerful mech. You also have a lot of choices when it comes to each mech loadout as well. You can pick from five different classes of “Grinders” which are the giant mechs in the game. There are tactics and strategy at play here which you have to take into account. However, there is far more depth here than you would think. I thought for sure that this would be a balls to the wall action kind of game and it kind of is. I will admit that the gameplay of Vox Machinae took me by surprise. Things get kicked up a notch when this invading force appears and we have to fight them off and discover where they came from and what they want. We ply as a guy who works for the Horizon Corporation’s security squad and we are basically a mech pilot. The game takes place in outer space in an area called the Serus System. However, as someone who gets a kick out of sci-fi stories, I thought that the setting and premise were both pretty cool. Ok, so the plot of the single-player campaign in Vox Machinae is certainly not going to win any awards for originality. I wanted to share my thoughts on the new single-player campaign as well as the game in general.

I dabbled with Vox Machinae a while back and thought that it was pretty neat, but they recently added in a single-player campaign so I went back to it and I am very glad that I did! This is a mech style game that can be played in VR! It is worth noting that you do not need a VR rig to play this as it also can be played on your PC in the “normal” way too.
